SWAT: Global Strike Team yet another game that this producer has screwed. It may be a good game on the PS2 and Xbox but it was made a hit by PC gamers and now they don't have a PC version...bastards.

Sounds like a really shitty game anyways.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

yeah...
I think the 2nd one was something like Jagged Alliance, never played it tho.
The 3rd one is pretty cool, similiar to Rainbow 6 except you try to arrest people sometimes

The 2nd one was kinda bullshit-ty. It was, like you said, a tactical combat thingy. The only difference being (as with the 3rd one) that you have to arrest people instead of just popping their brains out. But SWAT 2 was badly made, had very little to do in the category 'tactics', which means a lot when you consider it's a tactical combat game.

But yeah, the third one was kinda sweet. I enjoyed it (at least) as much as R6: Rogue Spear.

Sad thing is, I own the 2nd one. Its pretty handy as a police trainer dealie and teaches some very basic swat tactics and such. For its time it was pretty good in that it randomized the locations of crooks and civilians so one time a bank robbery may be just the crooks in the lobby or the next one may have a hostage in the vault. Also provided alot of options like snipers and such. Though sometimes it was abit clunky, been awhile since I played, but I think you have to manually aim and if one of your team members stood right behind you, you got shot. Still, I liked it, especially since it was only $5 out of my pocket.

I rather enjoyed Police Quest...First game with FMV sequences I ever played. Now I hate that crap, but back in the day, I thought it was the awesome.

I found my old SWAT CDs..I don't recall ever playing it. I think I might have swiped it from a friend after he beat it.

Speaking of games with FMV from "the old days"....Anyone remember MegaRace? Had the creepy announcer guy that was a mix between Max Headroom and the guy from the Micro Machines commercial? I found that CD, too. I think it was bundled with old Compaq computers. Also swiped this from the same friend.
