The thought has crept into my mind as well. I mean, with all the shit I've posted and no reaction from his side? God damn it, either he's dead or he's become a vegetable. Or his wife read an article from the Reader's Digest that says internet is bad.

Maybe his wife realized he had too many enemies on DAC and that threatened her position as his life's antagonist?

no way, Hammer is invincible. He's just playing that soldier metal game, planetscape or whatever.

Anyway, what's that movie called? It's black and white and like body snatchers, but they go over a hill and come back...BIZARRO!

My friend Zeb says some interesting things:

SEALAND is not and independant state!
For any location to be considered it's own country (or independant state) it must adhere to the following:

1. Has space or territory which has internationally recognized boundaries.
2. Has people who live there on an ongoing basis.
3. Has economic activity and an organized economy (foreign and domestic trade and money).
4. Has the power of social engineering, such as education.
5.Has a transportation system for moving goods and people.
6. Has a government which provides public services and police power.
7. Has sovereignty. No other State should have power over the State's territory.
8. Has external recognition. A State has been "voted into the club" by other States.

How does Sealand match up?

1. No. Sealand has no land. It sits in the oceanic radius of the UK.
2. No. Only one person stays at Sealand temporarily, and employees of HavenCo. do not count as citizens as they don't live on site.
3. No. Sealand money and stamps are only sought by collectors.
4. Maybe, if there were people there.
5. No.
6. Yes. But the UK could easily undermine the security with a few police officers.
7. NO. The UK has power of Sealand's territory.
8. NO. No other countries recognize Sealand. Sealand is a Crown dependency of Britain.

Sealand is a special case.

1. Sealand still has space. Otherwise, it wouldn't exist? Bizarro.
2. There's gotta be a few people who live there on an ongoing basis, and more will after we plunder it.
3. Piracy's an economic activity if I ever heard of one.
4. Myth. The citizens of Sealand have a highly evolved social structure for the few people it has.
5. Ever hear of walking?
6. Evidently.
7. No way.
8. External recognition? People elsewhere seem to know it exists, yes.

In short, Sealand exists, it's a frightening force to be reckoned with, and you're a noob.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

Your laws aply to the basic state creation of the 16 th century not the complex post Imperial world of the 21st.

Sealand is a country and will be a country until someone succesfully challanges its status or invades it.

Carrot has it. Anyone can make a country. Whether or not anyone recognizes it, you have education, a police force, etc, etc, etc doesn't matter. I still say we invade. If nothing else we build a new Paris gun. But... more like a Sealand gun. Teach them a lesson.

And I'll bring my own lunch, but you can have the apple, maybe. All good points atoga, I myself wondered about a few of them, especially the bit about it being in British waters. Sealand is a country, and that means that we can go and kick their ass to form... We really need a name.

the territorial waters have been covered. Brits extended it after Sealand wasfounded, so they are grandfathered in. Their claim is as legit as the US' would be if Canada claimed dominion over the western hemisphere.
