It took me a while to figure it out, I IMed Killz a while back and he said something about TheVats.net which at the time wasn’t up and then turned out to be a broken down DAC homepage that didn’t link to the forums. Rarely do I venture onto #fallout, and just by chance was getting bored in school and went to NMA where I saw a post by ozrat about the forums being up.

You’re right about the new posts though, maybe we should all find something stupid and post about it?

SAVE OUR SHIT!!! We should just turn this whole thing into an elaborate (but certainly not crude) wasteland with all kinds of wacky grimy stuff. I can dig it.

Gimmicks. Absolutely. We can make banners that say W1NNAH!!! with flashing colors to attract people to the site and then have some kooky feature like fotoshawp phryday where we put celebrity heads on crustaceans and post pictures of our kwazy hijinks. Then we get skywriters to tell the world, all paid for by selling the members list emails to penis enlargement sites.

More updates and content could help too. Also adding some metaname keywords to the mainpage like "lolita" "preteen" and "elf" would attract viewers.

Edit: Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are no metanames for finding this site at all, compared to NMA's fallout, tactics, bos, fallout 2, fallout2, Interplay, rpg, strategy, no mutants allowed, post nuclear, fallout3, fallout 3 string that is fairly sure to attract a few people.

Anyway, I don't really know what would bring DAC back now. I think in about a month, maybe 5 more people will show up, and then interest will quickly die down again. The main site needs work stat.

I've got a few ideas about some things to bring some fresh content to DAC. I'm going to talk Killz into giving me some stuff so I can get this place going. In the mean time lets not screw up too much. I'll allow a few non-traditional threads but would rather it doesn't get too out of hand.

I've been trying to come up with what I would want in this website, figuring it cant be <I>that</I> off base with what most other people would want. It occurred to me that though we are all fans of Fallout, we are not entirely PA fans but fans of good games (almost quoting someone there, Spazmo maybe?) Maybe the breadth of the site could become a little more broad, but then again that makes us sound a lot like the codex. Reviewing more media makes it like PA media. Just about expanding to encompass anything other than PA games is infringing on other communities. Dead end? Fleshing out the features on the website is always a good idea, after all people kind of dropped the ball on a lot of shit. What we really need is some new features, and I was kind of curious about the Kiddy Pool. I know Killzig hates badgering about writing in it, and so would I if people expected a monthly page o&#8217; amusement so I got to thinking why not just let other people write for it? Plenty of people used to read it, and there are a lot of funny guys around here with nothing better to do. The community could approve something before it goes on the main page, thus quality is insured?

Another is to host more files, though I&#8217;m not sure what or how much bandwidth ext. that there is to play with. Still, it keeps people trickling in here for various reasons. I don&#8217;t know, I just say things?

All these things were half done by the time Kreegle split. And it took a helluva long time to even reach that stage. The movie reviews and other stuff are buried in the ftp somewhere.

And DAC should remain 100% about post apocalyptic shit and things relating to PA. However, the chances of seeing the site come back are freakin next to impossible.
