Appeal to the younger generation

Or something. In any case, we have to make DAC more appealing to someone at least. That is, actually bother to do something with it rather than letting it fester and die. Add new features or something.

Update the downloads page for shit's sake. Update damn near everything available from the front page.

How about an updated interface? Not exactly difficult to navigate, but it's not that pretty anymore.

Ehrm...Branching to more than just post apoc type news? There are other genre that we're well aware of. And how about using some of us as official game reviewers? I play games all the time, and I can be long winded and downright hateful when it comes to games. I wouldn't mind finding some game reviews here.

I mentioned it before, also, but how about an official DAC FO2 Mod? I'm sure with all the creativity flowing freely from our asses that we could pull something interesting and entertaining together.

Just my thoughts...I've rabbled the same things many times before.

EDIT: And what's up with that poll on the front page?

I doubt the site will get updated before it gets back to the original host.

I think game reviews could be pretty interesting, as long as it doesn't involve brown nosing.

Also, let's not make this a RPGCodex #2. We don't want a flow of mindless morons posting freely on these boards.

We're just fine now, we just need more News items to comment on, and no need to keep to the subject of games, just post news that could interest people here. Although adding some content(like game reviews) could be pretty awesome.

What attracts people to a page is not only the availability of information but also the amount of stuff you can DOWNLOAD. Seriously..The only reason I visited NMA in the first place was so I could collect some FO2 mods. They're like the only site out there with a nice comprehensive database.

I think the only reason I came to DAC is because it was the suggested alternative to V13. If I'd encountered NMA sooner, I'd probably be there instead.

The Fan Art section on the front page needs to be expanded to the stuff us regular users have posted in the forums as well. And what ever happened to all the 3DS models St. P used to post?

We've got a lot of content available, but it's never used. People come here, read some news and go away. There's little to hold interest as NMA and other sites have actual content that DAC is severely lacking.

I think forum stuff should be more present in the news. Like you said, the best fan art or fan fic should be posted on the news page or something.

As for downloads, I used to search for FO mods, yes, but not anymore. I don't think we need a lot of downloads, just the good ones. I can't think of anything there's nowhere else though, and FO mods aren't needed much anymore, FOT maps either.

Maybe a link or something about FO PnP. I really can't think of anything else.

Personally I'd still hang here even if no new content was added, the forums are enough for me.

My first time here.... I don't remember well, I used to read V13 and then moved to NMA. I clicked a link to here once, and never left.

I don't plan to leave until DAC is completely dead. Even without content, I still like the place.

The content isn't for us, the regulars..The content is for the next generation of DACcers that know little/nothing about the site.

Younger generation? Most of the people here are like 16. Pretty much everything said here is all viable for a new revitalized DAC. More updates, new look, more community spirit? Without a doubt have a few fan art updates on the main page and maybe get some sort of quiz going. The folks over at starmen.net may not have had a game release for almost 11 years but they still manage to entertain themselves with weird contests and such.

Need more Downloads. A post in the Fallout forum before the site went down had some guy asking why his Fallout mod he sent in wasn't put up and how long he'd have to wait for it to get put up.
