Fix the site asshats!

Went over this in a thread in GD....It's like...There are 5 people that continue to post here even though DAC is "down." Everyone who checked NMA or RPGCodex knows that this is where to come for all that DACciness, but no one seems to really care.

I'm still telling you people. Log out, then try to log back in. HUZZAH! Bet you can't and I bet you'll find that's some of the problem. I also doubt the majority of DaCers check the Codex and any threads at NMA about DaC seem to get locked while people talk about their days in NAM...

In short the problem is two-fold.

1) It doesn't work properly from thevats.net URL
2) Not many DaCers know about thevats.

Fix 1, then find some way to get two. Like mabbe using the phpBB Admin e-mail function and e-mailing everyone.

It works sorta fine. Log in and then it will give you a 404 or some error. Back up and then you are in like Flynn. Kinda crazy way to log in and would be much easier if you didn't have to use the back door but maybe it will keep the loser hordes out? Let's make it a secret sausage clubhouse....

It's a lot easier if you use Mozilla. Try to login main page, it'll fail, and then you can go directly to the forums. Problem is, cookies don't work, but since there aren't many new posts around here anyway, it's no biggie.

Erh, I made it work at home but it won'T at my job, anyone's got a lead? Tells me therere is a FW-1 Error, then I go back and it just won't log in.

How do you have this working at your house?

Oh oh, I tried the host file thingie, it didn't work, copied back the original host file, and now it works, hurray!
