THX-1138 is going to be re-released this fall with some newly created footage. It is the ultimate vision of a future dystopia - nightmarish and prophetic.

It rocks. The additional 'stuff' looked fairly subduded so I'm all for it.

interesting, and the theme has been replicated in so many sci-fi films, orwellian's big brother stuff at its best

looks to me like the same old love story placed in a sci-fi setting.

Robert Duvell looks young in that movie. This was released a couple years ago right? He must of trained pretty hard.

I remember watching this as a kid and being really bothered. I've got it on VHS somewhere, but I seem to have misplaced it. I'm definately gonna buy this DVD. Great link.

It was George Lucas' first movie that he started way back in college and then later got the studios to finance. It is minimalist but very well done and frightening on many levels.

I never heard of it before, I thought it was a new movie coming out this year, when I saw "Robert Duvall" and I thought, wasn't he in Apocalypse Now?

Why does the cop in the beginning of the trailer walk into a wall?

Wait...By re-released, does that mean to theatres, or to DVD? I don't wanna pay to see it in theatres and then have to go buy it..I'd rather just buy it.

It will be re-released to theaters and DVD. I like the big screen experience so will probably just go see it at the movies.
