I thought it was pretty good, good fluff at least.

The girl was hot.

The world got ruined, and I'm all for anything with a hint of post-apoc.

It was a lot like Independance Day, like even down to plot devices, which is cheesy but whatever.

In all - enjoyable.

Enjoyable, but will it be worth my $6-7 USD when I contemplate spending it next weekend?

All your answers can be found in my avatar, Cloud9.

I'm waiting to see DAT when it comes out on HBO.

I spent my money this weekend on Shrek 2. WOO! Shrek kicks ass. I'd consider it right up to par, if not a bit better than the first. Loved all the Blazing Saddle and Rocky Horror references sprinkled throughout. And if you've not seen Shrek 1, you don't really need to..Shrek 2 is sort of a stand-alone movie.

I'll probably go see DAT, since 8 bucks isn't even half an hour.

Anyways, I heard it was disasters during the whole movie. I wish they'd make one BIG disaster at the beginning, and the movie would concentrate on what's happening after. I guess I'm dreaming, we're in america after all.

i spent 10 to go see it but i make around 12-15 an hour working for the elections so its alright.

i thought The Day After Tommorow was alright. the chick being hot was a definate bonus. i thought how the characters avoided the super freeze was bullshit but...

They hopped in their VW Bus and drove south to the equator with their sunglasses on and holding hands.

SPOILERS!

IMO it was fairly entertaining, but:

The instant freezing was hard to believe.
It sure was lucky the ship stopped right next to the library like that.
And the wolves on the ship? "OMG they're like furry raptors from Jurassic Park!!!"

I was hoping for more exploration in frozen NYC.

im pretty sure that closing the door doesnt stop super freezing when it can freeze whole buildings inside and out.

Well, both the Dad and the son had heat sources inside, the stove and the fireplace, but that seems unlikely to be enough to hold off the super freezing effect. The silly thing is that slower freezing would have been just as effective an obstacle for the characters to overcome. A steady (-100F) temp for some period of time would have been more believeable, and plenty deadly enough.

seen it, wasnt up to scratch as a story, dennis quaid could have done much better, teh special effects were fairly good, overall i'd rather watch Troy again, at least that had some action in it.
