I'm thinking it’ll be back in business once we get back to DAC. Or whenever thevats.net actually works. We are missing a few regulars that should have found their way back, maybe they quit or maybe they just are that out of the loop. Either way, if this place goes down I wont know what the hell to set as my homepage

Maybe if the updated url was linked on #fallout instead of the no-worky DAC one a few more would find their way over. That was the first place I looked. Maybe ask the Codex to make a sticky about it or something. That is, unless there's already something like that over there. I haven't been on the codex since I used it to find this place, and I had to run a search for it.

Several things here:

1) Don't presume everybody actually knew about other internet sites that would've told people about thevats.net (IE: NMA / Codex) and so it's likely those people saw DaC disappear (especially after the "we are closed" Killzig / Kreegle fallout debacle) and have presumed the site is dead (even now with Interplay.com gone too). A large number of people also wouldn't know about IRC.

2) Sweet fuck all has been done to:
- a) Fix the site.
- b) Tell people about the new site.

Both these problems seem themselves to be related to 2 other problems:
1) No-one seems to care.
2) Where's Killzig (seeing as he is "The Leader" now an' all)? IE: Lack of "someone in charge" who can provide some sort of direction and is actually willing to do anything about it.

Related to 1 - the news hasn't even been updated with all the latest goings on with Interplay even.

Utimately, this place is dead until someone (one of the current Admins or Mods) decides someone should do something and then works out what to do and then does it. Though JJ86 seems to be hinting that someone may want to do something with the site, though I'd guess that's porn or possibly hentai related.

To answer your question, I think we'll all be left to jerk off soon.

Yeah, we need Killz back to either fix the place or give the work to someone who will. I don't bother putting news about Interplay up because basically Codex and NMA have it covered more than enough and I don't really give a shit. Other than that I don't see much that is newsworthy otherwise. If anyone else sees things, post them in the "Submit News" forum.

I have also been trying to herd back a few people by email and on IRC, maybe others should try that too? I thought the TWB comic would help but it may be a few weeks until I get another one. We really need some interesting and exclusive content to bring people back. Personally I would like to see DAC change its direction but will have to wait until some other worthwhile PA game gets made. I am waiting on Troika to make their damn game....

A guy back here in Finland called himself an avantgarde-artist, because he cuts and burns himself and does other kinky stuff to "feel pain, so he can express himself better in his artwork"... He made this video, called Sex & Death, where he kills a cat with an axe by beating it to death and then masturbates all over the carcass.

This masterpiece was on #1 display at our national museum of modern arts.

I probably can tell you guys this at the very least. Andy had a passing in the family, and said he'd be back, but this was over a month ago. At the very least he would get online but yea, since then nothing, so not much we can do. Thats why this ship is without a captain.

If someone here has admin rights, I don't think it would be terribly out of line if they wanted to pick things up around here.

I'm still lurking and ready to pick back up where we left off. There's been several new games/mods and all sorts of other shit announced, but I didn't bother posting because there's no point until things are working again. No broken links and maybe a functioning email system with the duckandcover.net domain bought back.

Until then I'll enjoy my time off and stick with an ancient yahoo email account. Don't have time to admin shit over the summer. Working all day in construction takes a lot out of you.
