Not sure if this is the right forum or not, but my loc_mis-E.bos file is corrupted on CD3 and I can't progress through the game without it.
So if anybody could suggest a workaround or provide a replacement, it would be much appreciated.

Did you have that problem with the loc_mis-D.bos file?

The loc_mis-D.bos file was fine, the loc_mis-E.bos file was corrupted.

Do as I mentioned in the thread at NMA about the other bos file and use Winzip to extract the file that is corrupted. You should be able to get some files from it.

Everytime I try, winzip states it is a blank archive and pops up the add file prompt.
I'll try again though.

Are you trying to open the file directly from the cd?

Yes, same thing happens when I copy the file onto the hard drive though.

As a side note, I have also used the booster, which seems to extract all the files it can into the folders.
The problem still occurs.

Hmmm, then you may need the entire file which is large. Leave your email and I'll look at it this weekend. I will try to see if I can make a new bos file with the bare necessitiies which will be a more manageable file to email.

Is there anything really important on the file besides the txt?
I only need the texts and I can place them myself.
If I'm missing any .mis files I'll go grab those that have been trimmed so there are no overlaps.

I believe there are a few mission files, one bunker file, text files, and sound files. The sound files you can live without but not anything else.

Hm... my hotmail account can't handle the supposed 21.3 mb bos.
max_wu@bigfoot.com should work.

Oh, the loc files don't contain any .mis files, those are the core files.
The loc files only contain sound and text.
I've checked, and I seem to have all the mis files.

Ok, I extracted the text files only and rezipped them into a new and very small file. It is on its way.

The files have to be placed in the core\locale\missions\(Mission number)
IE, mission22_speech.txt would be placed in core\locale\missions\mission22
