Far Cry. Yep, I had to post this.

I loved the flow of the game, it felt refreshing for someone to make a game and not worry about plot too much (and in the end fucking it up). All the new games are off trying to justify the monsters and have a plot that makes ‘sense’ while Farcry goes and sets the last level in a volcano. Fantastic!
