Stalker Delayed
<strong>[Game -> Update]</strong>
The release of the forthcoming Post Apocalyptic first person shooter <a href="http://www.stalker-game.com/">STALKER</a> has been delayed by by THQ.
<br>
<br><blockquote>"We have strategically scheduled <a href="http://www.stalker-game.com/">S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl</a> for PC, Pandemic Studios' <a href="http://http://www.destroyallhumansgame.com/">Destroy All Humans</a> for PlayStation 2 and Xbox, and <a href="http://thq.com/punisher/">The Punisher</a>, from internal studio Volition, for PlayStation 2 and Xbox for the fiscal fourth quarter, which we believe to be an optimal window for establishing new intellectual properties. In addition, we plan to release WWE: Wrestlemania XXI for Xbox in the fourth quarter in conjunction with the WWE's Wrestlemania promotional push," said Farrell in a statement released before the call."</blockquote>
<br>
<br>A strategic move to release the games during the holiday season? Or just a bad development move to accomodate more console games?
<br>

I just looked up Destroy All Humans as I'd never heard of it....It looks pretty tight, and all the previews are positive....I might have to buy that when it comes out.
Ya know..When I first heard about Stalker, I assumed it would never be released....Sort of a Duke Nukem Forever type thing. Frankly I'm surprised they're launching it in Q4, and I'm also a bit happy...I was looking forward to it.

I'm totally down with Destroy All Humans. I caught whiff of that awhile back (this article too). However, I seriously think that the "optimal window for establishing new intellectual properties" boils down to "holy shit marketing never told the world we canceled so we better pretend that we actually have something ALMOST ready"
off topic? OMG YOU'VE BEEN CENSORED... yet you're still posting. MYSTARY!!!!

I'm inclined to agree with this.jetbaby wrote:I'm totally down with Destroy All Humans. I caught whiff of that awhile back (this article too). Your idols speak so much of the abyss, yet your morals only run as deep as the surface.
