Logo Competition

[Community -> Update]

Here's the deal folks:
 
 <a href="http://www.duckandcover.cx">Duck and Cover</a> is going to undergo a complete redesign in the very near future. There are various issues with the site that have to be dealt with, and a complete graphical overhaul is on the list.
 
 So, as suggested by <a href="http://www.duckandcover.cx/forums/profi ... etlaw83</a>, DAC is going to be holding a New Logo Design Competition! Feel free to include a new tagline with the logo (the current one is "You're safe -- and you know it!"). This new logo will also be somewhat of a basis for the design of the new site, so if you have any ideas for an accompanying page design, be sure to post those along with the logo.
 
 There is only one rule to the competition, and that is, of course, that the logo has to deal with <a href="http://www.interplay.com/fallout">Fallout</a>. Other than that, it is no holds barred! Anyone can enter, and we know there are some fantastic artists out there, so lets get crackin!

 EDIT: Assume the deadline is September 1st.

You're Safe - And You Know It! is actually an old, old Firestone advertising slogan from the late 40s. It seemed to fit with the theme of Duck and Cover, which is why we used it.

Would it be in bad taste for me to submit something to the logo competition, seeing as though I suggested it? If not, I whipped this up:

Sorry I can't just post the file; I can't seem to find a decent picture host.

This logo would go along with an old school feel that borrowed somewhat from the PIPBoy interface. I would hate to know what kind of web design theme would go along with Sauron's submission.

It's ok I suppose. It just seemed a little to brown for me, didn't really jump out and grab me by the cajones. Although it is better than Susans

As much as I'd like(?) it, DAC's new logo won't involve any goatse images or references.

I think we should somehow work the stretched anus part of the picture into the logo tastefully.

Anyway, I really like the current one, with the guy and the sunset like that... I think the new one should somehow try to incorporate the feel of a wasteland. And I don't see any reason to change the motto.

It might be an idea to leave this thread for comments on the competition, and have a sticky in another forum for DAC logo submissions, so it doesn't get lost as new news is posted. I don't know, it's up to you, king
