Interesting stuff on alcohol

Apparently 25 bottles (0.33 liters) of beer per week for men and 17 bottles for women is the limit of a large-scale consumer.

Sooo... discuss! Do you drink more than 8.25 / 5.60 liters of beer per week? THEN YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, you DIRTY alcoholic!

When I worked at that store... this little paki guy came buy his 24 every day.

In a normal week, I drink 1/3 of a wine bottle each day, and add a beer to that during summer. Weekends are variable though, depending on the parties

Us under aged kids can only drink when we get the chance, so my alcohol intake goes from dangerously near alcohol poisoning to none depending on the month.

Depending on the week at college, I might drink between 1 to 3 cases of beer.

Or none at all.

Depends on how kicking the parties are.

Would've pulled in a lot more people & opinions.
Oh, well.

In case you don't know, one bottle of beer (III, 33 cl) equals the amount of alcohol in a shot of whiskey (4 cl) or a glass of wine (12 cl).

So if you're into heavy liquor, you can compare you're drinking that way. Turning the amount of alcohol into beers, get it?

The problem with the consumer information you've gotten is people don't drink a set amount of alcohol every week. Also, it seems to be an average - I know some people who drink case upon case regularly and I know others who don't touch the stuff. I know several people who consume more than one case a week and who are not alcoholics.

Yes, it is an average. You can easily come up with such an average if you check up your early or monthly drinking. If you drink 4 beers a month, that makes a 1 beer per week average, even if you drink them all the same day.

If there're parties, I drink half a case at each party (mainly liquor though, beer makes me fart like hell the next day). I malso drink like 6-7 glasses of whickey or the likes during any given week...

In France there are advertising campaigns which suggest that no man should have more than 2 bottles of wine a day, no woman should have more than 1 bottle a day, and no pregnant woman or child should have more than half a bottle. Of course, the idea is like the food pyramid in the United States; nobody follows it.

I don't like alcohol very much. It's really not that fun.

I don't know how you can drink that stuff. It's far too sweet and puts a bizarre sugary film on your teeth.
