Blue/White Background

Post by ExtremeDrinker »

I just got finished re-installing Windows and found a nice skin for XP that's blue and white...And it didn't come with a background so I threw one together. I hate working with a mouse, but I've not installed my tablet or any filters/plugins to do anything better.

Yeah, I don't much care for the shading...But when you do a drop shadow on one section of a layer, it goes on all sections of the layer for some reason...I need to install some real plugins and my tablet.

But hey, I kind of dig it. It matches the XP skin I'm using quite nicely.

That's not orange. That's more like beige...

or yellowish-brown/lightbrown? !
There are no 'knowns'. There are thing we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns.

Also..I guess my vision must be failing me, but that looked perfectly orange on my screen...Now it looks a bit too reddish for my taste.

Anyone want the PSD file so they can fuck with it themselves?

The 2nd one's orange is perfect. The blue in the 1st is kind of purple, though. Periwinkle, really. I think if you darkened up the 1st one's blue, and added it to the 2nd one's orange, you would have some kickin' radness.

EDIT: Cool stuff to begin with, by the way.

I really just made it for myself to match the XP skin...Made the others because I've got nothing better to do for another week when I start teaching.

Here's my desktop:
