All the druggies I know love Doors along with TOOL. I don't know why they are ok and the music is a little bit better than decent.

Should I take a photograph of my CD case for you, Franz? I've got about 15 pages of classical composers CDs. :)

Dark Side of the Moon SUCKS. It has a total of one good song (Time). The lyrics are good, but that's about it, and lyrics do not make the song. Almost any other Pink Floyd album is better (even the dreaded Atom Heart Mother comes close) - Wish You Were Here is probably the best with all of its musical aspects added up. A Saucerful of Secrets, More, and Animals are my other Floyd favorites, as well as anything by Syd.

Peter Gabriel-era Genesis also rules (Dancing With The Moonlit Knight, Supper's Ready, Get 'Em Out By Friday, Carpet Crawlers, etc.)

Aside from that? I like Zeppelin enough to own every Zeppelin CD (including the rare stuff), and I'm a big Jethro Tull fan (Aqualung, A Passion Play, Thick As A Brick). Rock-wise, that's about it, aside from bits and pieces of other 1970s stuff. And I'm of the opinion that non-Sabbath metal just sucks.

Otherwise, I listen to the occasional bit of pseudo-classical (mostly Phillip Glass) but it's mainly jazz and blues - John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker, et al.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

An attempt at pseudo-elitism, Franz ? How quaint. In musical tastes you aren't alone, that could be said for anyone. :drunk:

SuperH wrote:None of that is metal.

First part is Industrial, Futurepop / EBM and a bit of the heavier stuff.

Second part is general New Wave / Darkwave.

Third part is the kinda misc stuff, I guess Sisters and Sarah could be called Metal, but they could also be called Industrial and Goth. Bizzaro.

Last part is Ambient.

I doubt it. To the untrained eye Franz may have a bit of a complex but there's plenty of people out there he can relate to. I might add that he's listed some of the more "mainstream" classical stuff, if there's such a thing.

I didn't mention half of the prog-rock I listen to (Yes, King Crimson, Anglagard, Camel, Rush, Caravan, Magma), so in that case, pwned in the "pseudo-obscure elitist music department"? Does anybody else listen to this stuff at all?

Edit: fixed bad spelling mistake.
