New STALKER preview

There's a new <a href="http://appsrv-2.1up.com/do/previewPage? ... preview at 1up of STALKER.

So what makes S.T.A.L.K.E.R. stand out from the postapocalyptic-shooter pack? Simply, the massive amount of space the game intends to give gamers. And not just space in terms of real estate to roam (though with 30 square kilometers to cover, there's plenty of that), but space in terms of how you choose to play the game and how you interact with the world. This is a game with eight entirely different potential endings, each achievable through entirely different potential styles of play.

It will be interesting to see if the game lives up to the hype, and ever gets released. It's been delayed a lot now, hasn't it?

I think "S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl hits shelves late this year" is a bit optimistic. They don't even have a boxshot yet.

It doesn't matter about whether there is a box shot so much as it matters that there is a complete product. So far it looks pretty damn good.

Erm... is there a "postapocalyptic-shooter pack"? I really hadn't noticed.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

On the bright side, it won't take much to stand out from that pack.
