The better OS
So? Do I lose all my info if I upgrade from Windows 98 to Windows ME?

All of the 98 Windows. Different coloured buggers they are.
Why?
- It's cheap
- It's easy to use
- It's editable/fixable (unlike rest of the fucking encrypted sonofabitch-windows)
- Everything works (well... only those rrrrreally old DOS things aren't compatible)
- The big brother Gilbert Bates won't be watching over your back all the time
- I've named mine as Dolores
- It's got one shaggy lil' installation disc!

ME definately!
It might have bugs, but only compared to newer versions.
ME, because it has a much larger variety of drivers, much better
compability, less chrashes and it just feels much better.
It's basicly the same as 98, just broader compability ^_^
I recommend Win XP, if you can get ALL the drivers for your hardware...
otherwise you're screwed...
But no, you wont loose anything while upgrading (Which I believe,
I'm the only one who has answered so far??)

Win 98. ME screws everything up (or so it did to me) and is basically worth doodely-squwat. It's also not compatible with a lot of games, especially the classics.

I used to use Win 95. It was alright, but not the best OS in the world.
Then I got a computer with win ME. It was ass. The thing never ran right, probably because it used a shitty-ass VIA KT-133 chipset.
I then upgraded to Win XP Home, but I had to reinstall it every thirty days as I don't want big brother watching me, and because it came with a laptop I bought, and if I tried to register it microsoft would shut it down. Bastards.
I have since gotten a copy if Win 98, and it runs fine. I can even play Interstate 76, a classic game that would not run on either Win ME or XP. I am thinking of upgrading to Win 98 Second Edition, does anybody have any thoughts on this?
