Post by Mad Max RW »

<strong>[Game -> Update]</strong>

<B>Master Creating</b>'s futuristic action RPG <A HREF="http://www.ra2083.com/" target=_blank>Restricted Area</a> went gold and should start appearing on store shelves across Germany <B>October 1st</b>. There's no information on the English version at this time. As usual, swing by their <A HREF="http://www.ra2083.com/" target=_blank>homepage</a> for info, screens, trailers, and everything else.

Damn it is a post apocalyptic RPG, I've been ignoring all news related to it.
The year is 2083. As a result of environmental pollution, most of the earth is covered by the so-called wastelands, contaminated deserts with ruins and shelters where only mutants live. The only exceptions are the oceans and the cities, which grew larger and larger until they merged together to form giant megacities. Smog covers the atmosphere over these megacities, so the light is always dim, but colorful commercial projections and lanterns make up for the lack of light.

Yep, it certainly is post-apocalyptic, even if there are "Mega-cities." Falls into the same category as Beneath a Steel Sky.

Hmm... Mr. Teatime, what about that new Judge Dredd game, 'eh, radioactive wasteland between the Megacities and all?

Wait a second...didn't the Judge Dredd game already come out? And it sucked horrible ass. By Rebellion, the makers of AvP1, if I'm not mistaken.

This game is much more cyberpunk than anything else. I wouldn't have covered (for DAC, we've been following it pretty closely on the Codex) it because the style and themes and stuff aren't really post-apoc.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Okay, you are correct Mad Max RW. Damn all news sites that don't follow up on their previous stories, leaving me with out of date information.

This looks to be worth keeping tabs on at the very least. Hopefully it will provide for an enjoyable game. :drunk:

Rebellion, the makers of AvP1, if I'm not mistaken.
Whatever you say about rebellion. Their AVP pimp-slapped Sierra's AVP in the mouth with the 12 inch barrel of a .454 casull pistol and then urinated on it while it cowered in a ditch.

... and yeah. It looks like Diablo with guns...

No thanks.
