Bethesda and Interplay are sort of mocked.... by the French!
[Company -> Update]
The imaginatively titled Joystick magazine, available on newstands in France, have a brief article about the recent goings on with the Fallout license.
Now it`s Bethesda who owns the Fallout license and that left many in perplexity. Not that we want to put down their games, no. The atmosphere and freedom in the Elder Scrolls series are excellent, but it's hard to imagine them doing a Falloutish post apocalyptical.
Bethesda has never proved that they could create interesting and fun dialogues, for instance. Also their FPS combat is chaotic and [bourrin], thank you very much.
Yes we understand that their adaptation will be something more than a radiated Morrowind.Maybe our concerns aren't legitimate. The developers could do some interviews to reassure us, we'll wait until we see something working to give a more sincere opinion.

On their side the Interplay zombies kept the multiplayer games rights. They are moving slowly and clumsly towards us, their arms stretched while mumbling something like <<Fallout onlineeee>>. I believe we're just going to keep them at bay discretly.
NMA have the scan of the article, in French, here. It's all been debated already, but it's nice to see some published press writing about these issues as well. Even if they're French.
Thanks to Briosafreak for letting me know.

I'm french so i tried to translate it.
The Fallout license is now the property of Bethesda, which could puzzle many of us.... We don't hate their games, definitely not. The atmosphere and the freedom in The Elder Scrolls series are incredible, but we can't imagine them doing a fallout post apocalyptical game. For example, Bethesda have never proved they know how to write interresting and funny dialogues. And their fights so chaotic and crude, no thanks. We know that their adaptation will surely be more complex than an easy and irradiate Morrowind. Maybe our concerns are right based. Even if the developpers will give reassuring interviews, we prefer to wait to see something working to make a personnal opinion. On their side, the zombies from Interplay keep the license of the series for online products. They come awkwardly to us, raised arms and gabbling something like "Fallout onlinnnnee". I think we gonna move silently away from them.

Please correct my english if needed because it's close to a word to word translation (to keep the Joy style)

And so Bethesda now owns the Fallout license and it leaves many perplexed. Not that we would want to denigrate their games, no. The ambiance and freedom of the Elder Scrolls games is remarkable, but we can't imagine them doing a Fallouty post-apocalyptic game. Bethesda has never proven they could write interesting and fun dialogs, for instance. And their FPS style combat is so chaotic and crude, thanks very much. Yes, we're aware that their adaptation will likely be more than an irradiated Morrowind. The disquietude might not be justified. The developers can go ahead and keep giving reassuring interviews if they like, but we'll wait to see something working before we form a more composed opinion. On their side of things, the zombies at Interplay hold onto the rights for online products. They lurch towards us with arms outstretched, moaning something that sounds like "Fallout Oooooonliiiiiine." We'll just slowly back away.

We have to do this more times it`s fun. I should bring the part they say KoTORII looks ugly, as one expects of a X-Box game, and their irony regarding NWN, thanking Obsidian for saying that they`re going to make a better game, and pissing themselves out of the Ultima references Fergus has beeing telling people, because a NWN style of game isn`t enough for them (thank god for that).
