Rejoice. There was a nuclear bomb that was lost during the cold war. Luckily for the future of humanity, just 50 years later, it's been found under the sea.

 An Air Force investigation concluded in 2001 that the bomb is probably harmless if left where it is. It also said a recovery operation could set off the conventional explosives in the bomb that would put the recovery crew at risk and do serious environmental damage.

but they should change it in game too. That toepart has always been bothering me, that and the leanving the vault info vid, where they say "Wear protective eyewear", but in FO1 one has no such eyegear.

You know what always bothered me? The fact that people bitch about unrealistic things in the Fallout RPGs and FoT, but never complain about the fact a nuclear detonation was at the end of each game.

The shelve life of a nuclear weapon is 12-15 years, after which it can no longer reach critical mass and won't blow up.

And as for the "leaving the vault" video featuring protective eyegear, the video could be patently wrong, just like a lot of other Vault-Tec information.

You know what always bothered me? The fact that people bitch about unrealistic things in the Fallout RPGs and FoT, but never complain about the fact a nuclear detonation was at the end of each game.

U hope you're not aiming thatone at me, since I am not in any way saying anything about anything unrealistic.

But even if the info vid is wrong, the charachter in
FO1 would prolly have been shown it, and thus should follow it.

Wasn't aimed at you. I just get sick of people bitching about unrealistic small things in the games but are willing to suspend realism over a major plot device.

It was caused by a plane collision over deep water. An F-86 Sabre and a B-47 Stratojet,if I recall correct.

Since I live in Ga, this is old news for me.

They just plan to let the bomb sit underwater, since left alone it shouldnt do anything.
