Dennis Hopper picks up his chainsaw once more
[Community -> Update]
Some awesome news about Land of the Dead:
Simon Baker ('Ring 2'), John Leguizamo ('Spawn') and Dennis Hopper ('Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2') are joining Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg ('Shaun of the Dead') in The Land of the Dead, George A. Romero's return to the zombie genre that he made famous, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Asia Argento and Robert Joy also are joining the cast. Written and directed by Romero, the story takes place in a world overrun by zombies where the survivors live in a walled city. While the zombies are evolving, certain factions seek to overthrow the city. The film is meant to complement Romero's earlier zombie movies, "Night of the Living Dead," "Dawn of the Dead" and "Day of the Dead," and also start a new line of zombie films. Universal Pictures is distributing domestically and internationally via negative pickup. 'Land' hits theaters October 21st 2005.
I cannot wait. Dennis Hopper put in a stunning performance in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.

And to start up another round of flames against me:
Be shamed! You mention Dennis Hopper for his role in TCM2, yet despite this being a post-apoc website you do not mention his wonderful role as the leader of the Smokers in waterworld!
*still doesn't understand why no-one likes that film... the bungee scene was the only cheesy bit of the film and most good films have a bad point or two...)

It's fallout on water to me.. the attitudes, the styles, everything...
The scene where the mariner (aka Wanderer) meets the guy on the boat, and they trade, after calling out their languages... the cowering peasants on the atoll, the methods of attack the smokers (aka Raiders) use, sending their jetskis under the water to burst out of the central pool... ahhh loveliness .. *twitch*
