You're just jealous. It's alright. When Urza's Saga came out, that game sucked hard. I was a definate fan up until the Stronghold/tempest sets. I forget what their overall thing was called though.

OMFG!!! I didn't know you folks here at the DAC play or used to MTG. That's cool. I remember my channel/ fireball deck back in BETA. That when magic rocked. Now it just seems like a game for spoiled little ungrateful shits and fat rules nazi's who have to call a judge like every minute when they think a mistake has been made. God I miss the good old days when Frozen Shade was just 1Black +1/+1.
Ignore my warnings and pay no heed then your live will be ended shortly indeed!

Janus is like a little brother. He means well, but he's ultimately driven by morbid curiousity and the need to be hugged.

Classic.

I actually used to play MTG a few years ago, it was a phase that went through the college I was in. When I realised I was spending a lot of money for the privalege of having someone say 'yeah, that card is nice, but I just spend £100 on this card that makes yours redundant', I quit.

Sounds like my shortlived experiences with Warhammer, games workshop..

"Ah i see... so to stand a chance in any battle, i have to spend atleast £300 on these boring, identical units, instead of the details original ones that i enjoy painting... and then i get to roll dice and slide them around a table. Ah."

I played MTG for like 2 months, a long time ago. I got lucky though, all I have are beta cards and I have a few worth some doughts. I need to sell them on ebay.

I still have plenty of Warhammers, the medieval one. I just enjoyed painting the units. I didn't spend much on the units, since I bought unpainted used ones, most of the time. Opened boxes, etc. One of my friend had a table in his basement so we would bring all our armies there and we'd battle it out over a few weeks, playing once in a while.

Fun times.
