[Community -> Update]
Looks like Ghetto Ghoose has updated the Picture of the Week. This time it's from a movie called Threads:
Video case of the movie 'Threads,' the BBC documentary based in a post-apocalyptic England after the Russians attacked the west. From what I hear, it is apparently the shit. Sent in by Radman2307.
I remember a BBC series a few years back about an alien invasion, and the series ended with all the good guys' efforts failing, and so they decided to destroy the planet with nuclear bombs rather than let the aliens take over the world. The whole thing ended with the screen fading white as the bombs went off.

If you have any suggestions for future pictures, send them along to Ghetto Ghoose.

Threads has nothing to do with Aliens, it was made in the early eighties. Teatime is just rambling ![icon_wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
A BBC series I loved was 'The Last Train'
Post apocalyptic, though i don't remember the cause, but very well done... people being hunted through ruined cities by packs of wild dogs, groups of looters and raiders etc... It's only 6-8 years old if i remember correctly.. at most.

Threads is a "documentary".
Meaning it is no aliens or such in it.
It is very good and everyone who is interested in The Cold War and what could happend should see it. I was very young when i first saw it, and it did a really big impact on me. Bla bla bla. Anyway its not shit, its just old.

I personally loved the film...
Its set in my home city of Sheffield too... So good all round. I first saw it earlier this year on BBC 4 or one of the BBC sky channels.
Very good indeed. I suggest you guys try and get hold of a copy, even though it is a little old it still had a big impact on me. Anyway here is a review:

Yeah. I found the original source for it at www.jamestheband.com, before I had copied it off amazon or something. So now it's clearer and sharper (I also added a black outline), rather than the (inferior) CD scan that amazon were using.
Incidentally, if you've got time there are sound samples of the entire album that my avatar is taken from on that website, which are worth listening to. It's a brilliant album, especially when listened to as a whole rather than individual tracks.
If it means anything, Exitium has listened to the whole album and liked it. Is that good? Who knows.
