Weapon Sprite Resources

Post by requiem_for_a_starfury »

Anyone looking for some fallouty images of various weapons for making inventory sprites should check these pages out. Some of the images need texturing, but there are plenty of preview pics of various guns and blades that would make great fallouty sprites. :eyebrow:

Don't forget to check out some of the other catagories, like Other all, Instruments Other, and human parts etc etc lots of odds and ends that would make useful inventory sprites for quest items.

Also check out these pages the weapons aren't so good (though they have a crappy looking LAW) but the webbing, backpack and gas mask etc would be very useful. :eyebrow:

There's a rather nice sniper rifle here third image down.

And some assault rifles etc, here and here.

Plus some western weapons here.

And various weapons here though these are more for reference as they tend to have a lot of junk in the background.

Looking good, is that a tile or a sprite?

I have a whole host of those images on my HD waiting to be turned into tiles, I think you just saved me some work. :)

Its a sprite (a container actually) after all why wouldn't there be a usefull object or two in the vicinity of an old field piece. why not send me a rack of images via e-mail that you want converted into sprites. As for tiles I cant preserve the alpha layer on a PNG at this time. I thought photoshop6 could do it but apparently it can't or Im too dumb to figure it out.:chainsaw:

You don't need an alpha on a png to make a tile, well not in Corel anyway. I'll do you a trade tiles for sprites.

Senore Deluxe had Photoshop 6 and found the way it's done. If you have time, search for his threads. It's somewere over there.(he didn't post too often so there shouldn't be many of)

Yeah the proportions keeping relative is essential. some graphics are almost unrealistically big(that the users added). Of course still welcome.
I was fiddling with Civ3 mods lately, and I wish we had artists from their boards here.

We could do like New FO using FoT with extreme ease.
