Interplay's filings
[Company -> Update]
Interplay have finaly made their latest filing with the SEC. They made three submissions: a 10Q form, 8K form and 10QSB form. Instead of quoting from the forms, I'll leave you with some interesting comments from orionquest on Raging Bull:
From the filings, we can see than Interplay is the Penny stock Enron of the gaming industry. s #### load of lawsuits and a littany of shady subsidiary dealings.

...

Does it matter? If you sift through the weed sink 10QSB filing, you'll notice that Fallout 3 was licensed for 1.175 million and 4 and 5 will be for a million each if they are made. this sale accounted for almost a third of Q2 2004 revenue which is little over 3 million. Pretty cheap if you ask me unless they get part of the profits but then again IPLY is not in a bargaining position.

They also sold off Redneck Rampage for 300K( it'll show up in Q3 report?) and are now paying 2K per month for their new leased office or Boiler room whichever applies.

As of June 30, 2004 "We have a core group of approximately 20 employees on payroll, of which approximately 8 are actively working from the new company location in Irvine, California. Substantially all employees have not been paid for the period July 1"

but they did pay for the roll call prior to this date.

in Q4, They are "expecting" payments for 750K british pounds from Avallon and they only had 13K dollars left as of June 30, 2004 and they need finances to stay in business blah blah blah...
So now we know how much the Fallout license is worth.

HomeLAN Fed lists some other things of note:
... the publisher earned at $3.1 million in revenue in its last fiscal quarter. However, the published results continue to paint a bleak financial picture for the once large PC and console publisher, with the statement saying that based on current cash flow and cash reserves Interplay will not be able to continue as a publisher through its current fourth quarter 2004 fiscal period. The statement also has a listing of all the numerous lawsuits, fines and other penalties Interplay has received in the past several months. Of interest to Fallout fans is that the recently announced deal with Bethesda Softworks to develop and publish Fallout 3 also has an option to create a Fallout 4 and 5 as well. Another significant notice was Interplay's selling of its Redneck Rampage first person shooter franchise to VUGames last July for $300,000.
Will they be dead by the time they need to file again? Looks like it.
