Huge ads on frontpage?

Make dumb suggestions so we can ignore them. I'm lovin' it.

I'm seeing this kind of huge ugly blocky ad that kinda breaks up the front page. WHAT'S UP YO?
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

I mentioned it in management this morning after Dark Underlord said he was still working on ad placement and shit. Mentioned it again in #fallout later on. The ad really fucks up the page and I hope it's taken care of soon.

Hah, there's so much white space in that ad, it could be squashed down to normal banner proportions and still keep all the info.

Yar, the current placement of the ads is... temporary... until I get the new stuff out by the end of this year.

Unless someone else has some inspiring location to put those ads...

Create a special page with like 50 ads, we could each go on the page once every day.

Well, that's possible. I can setup one of those re-direct things that shows a useless page with an ad, then has a small, obscured link "click here for content / article / whatever" hidden on it somewhere.

As much as I hate those, it's not a bad idea. Go for it DU.

For whatever it is worth, I hereby add my voice to the 'nay to 'click here to continue, but enjoy the gratuitous adverts in the meantime'' crowd. Banners would be preferable, I think. :drunk:

Hell yes, I've 90% of the images I encounter blocked anyway. Makes the experience far less irritating, and usually much faster. Win, win. :drunk:

I'm sorry... did you just nest single quotation marks in an internet forum?
