Well, I got this very funny, but scary in FO2.
I went to New Reno on the eastside. I started killing the Wright family. I went to the basement of the train station.
Now I naturally continued my killing. I shot a dog and a man with my Turbo Plasma Rifle and my combat turn ended. The guy and the dog died in my shots.
Then comes computers turn and the dog and the man I just shot to a pile of ash jump up and attack me!! 8O I shot them again and they just kept jumping up and coming atter me!
I thought that what the heck are these undead immortals??. Well, I couldn't make any of the people down there to stay dead.....I first thought it was cause of the unpatched version, so I patched to the newest and nothing changed..
I played it again after a few days. Started all over again and came to Reno and...then it was again the hour of the undying..
Really scary. Immortal gangers... huuuu :infinity:

Weird... I'm gonna try that next time I play!
In retrospect, this is pretty funny too: Zax, the computer in the Glow, tells us that FEV isn'r airborn, you need to get in close contact (dipped) or have it injected. It's also invulnerable to radiation durt ot it's thick cell-membranes. This kills the FO2 storyline not to mention the Fallout Bible!

I guess they could have been a little more careful, but I don't think they expected most fans to really get into the game, THAT much.
I'm sure they tried to make the plot work.
Remember this: even really expensively made movies that are blockbuster hits sometimes don't make sense in some places.
Also, they could have just left out how mutants mutated. Like those early superhero comics. I'd rather they try and explain everything and screw up, than leave everything a mystery.

Well, the good 'ol "Ask About" option was always good for a laugh. Example (To Gizmo):
Me: Nice casino here... What's the deal with your fat ass?
Gizmo: Umph, people gamble in here. You ask stupid questions.
Hmm, and the video where the mutants are in Vault13.
And I did just love killing Lou in one turn. Killing the Master in one turn was a blast too. And killing the Overseer.

I thought Bob the used car salesman was pretty funny. I just wish i could have bought one of those junk heaps.
I've just talked with Zax the supercomputer and I think i could make this work.
Really off-topic:
The idea that they need the people in my Vault makes sense now. I'm not sure of the exact line, but it says that if it is injected into a person with genetic damage, like from radiation, it results in massive overhauling resulting in organ damage and death. Zax doesn't seem absolutely positive about transmission of the virus. He says something like "Typically, you need to be injected or dipped."
I don't see why anyone would care that the mutants were sterile. They could have kept a group of humans as "hosts" (Children of Catherdal, anyone?) They would let the humans reproduce, in controlled conditions, and make them mutants. The mutant population would have a very low death rate, because "cell death would be offset by augmented growth"
Remember. Zax was cut off from the outside world for a very long time.
Those infected by the FEV virus became super smart, but might not have been able to unlock all of its mysteries.
I admit there are inconsitencies with the plot, but the creators of Fallout, in theory, could explain away everything. Just because someone says something doesn't mean it is fact. Esp. in a post-apocalyptic world.

(You see, he is suggesting that people gamble in his ass... that was for those of you who didn't get it the first time, hehe! )
