STALKER engine completed in December

Post by Mr. Teatime »

[Game -> Update]

O ... ost.com report that the STALKER engine is nearly done.
As Oles Shishkovtsov, leading programmer of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, told us, the development of the X-Ray Engine would be finished in December of this year. Therefore, a release in may 2005 seems very probable. Currently, the only problem, according to Oles, is, as already known, the debugging of the life simulation system, because no situation is hardly re-produced exactly 1:1 again.
So an early 2005 release seems likely.

I still don't buy that excuse of having an AI that is too complex and needs further testing.

I am torn between clinging to optimism, and surrendering to rightful skepticism . . . And yet I remain ambivalent. A SHAME. :drunk:
