Faster than a speeding bullet
<strong>[Game -> Update]</strong>
Continuing to fix their broken game, <a href="http://www.silver-style.com">SilverStyle</a> have released <a href="http://www.silver-style.com/forum/viewt ... =3981">The Fall 1.3</a>, just over a day since they released the previous version. Either this is extremely good support, or the game could have used an extra few years in testing. At least the English version will be bug free - we hope.
<br>
<br>And as a discussion starter, this sort of game release is unacceptable, IMO. I was thinking about <a href=http://www.troikagames.com">Troika</a>'s <a href="http://www.vampirebloodlines.com/">Vampire: Bloodlines</a> game. It's clearly the best CRPG in recent memory, putting the so-called game-affecting choices in other companys' games to shame (hello, <A href="http://www.bioware.com">Bioware</a>), but the bugs and glitches......

Well, you can't deny that the game has some general performance issues. And while you may have avoided the game stopper (which occurs when you leave the Society of Leopold on the inflatable boat, some people just can't leave), as did I, the fact that the game shipped with a total game breaker for a sizable amount of people is a BAD THING.King of Creation wrote:I dunno what you people are talking about, but I haven't noticed many glitches at all in Vampire...and certainly no game-crashing ones.

I've encountered quite a few bugs - the most recent one being, after some dialogue has been spoken, no responses show up, yet the game is still in talking head mode. I have to click a lot of buttons and hope that the responses show up eventually.
Before that, all sound in the game died and I had to restart my PC to get it back again.
There are LOADS of graphical, and a few sound, glitches as well. From NPCs in walls, talking heads that are halfway off the screen, blood flickering on and off walls (elizebeth dane quest is particularly bad), NPCs zoomng across the screen so they're in their correct position, sounds being way out of proportion (really loud music vs really quiet talkng, or the other way around), cut scenes not working properly... the list goes on.
And Troika should work on the basis that any game they're about to ship has a huge memory leak, as it's been the case with all their games IIRC, Vampire being no exception. Seems assuming there is one just before shipping would solve some problems.

Yeah, I did notice that. Right as you walk in, on the left wall.blood flickering on and off walls (elizebeth dane quest is particularly bad)
About this memory leak thing, though...I'm not sure what you mean by it.
