No, some degree of pecking order is necessary. Post counts should stay. Trifoils are also out, however.

Look at it this way, you'd probably average at least 5-6 words more than many others.

I can't say I'm overly worried by the lack of custom titles, I would support the phasing out of post counts though. Yay.
