I'd agree, however the first Soldier of Fortune was so horrible that it would cause my friend to throw up from motion sickness if he even remotely watched the screen. Hilarity ensued.
Well, yes, I'll admit the dismemberment in SoE I/II was rather like the RPHG of Mesiah, a lone, relatively amusing feature, drowned out by the chaff. However, if I wanted dismemberment at the time, I'd just play Die by the Sword. Another fairly awful game, redeemed by the ability to kill things with their own arms. Grand multiplayer, but carp nonetheless. Woe.
Most recent game that sucked that I briefly tried to play: Doom 3.
Warcraft 3, Sacrifice, pretty much -any- RTS.
Hidden Invasion for the PS2 was really bad, and at the same time I enjoyed it's awfulness.
Quake 3. Any Tribes game.
There are probably more but I can't think of them right now.
Completely forgetting the obvious, ANY M.M.O.G out there.
Messiah was fun for a while. I personally don't know why it drew such ire from people. I enjoyed possessing people, there were some things that were annoying, such as ridiculous puzzles. Still. There were far worse games.
SOF 1 was better than 2 in my opinion. Even with my new pc, SOF 2 "looks" like it runs shitty and then I realized the animations were just god fucking awful. I couldn't play it as a result of that.
I liked Big Red Racing. The physics made it enjoyable as well as the network play. The swamp boat and jeep races were the most enjoyable. It was nothing special however.

suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.
Doom3 was ok. A lot of people complain about hardly being able to see anything, but I kinda liked it. Helps instill panic, if you like that sorta thing in a FPS.
Meh, give me System Shock 2 any day. It covers that "dark and scary" thing. It also covers that "deep, involving gameplay" thing. Doom 3 is basically a really expensive game engine. System Shock 2 is a game.

Compared to other racing games at the time, including MegaRace and Hi-Octane, BRR was a big turd in the racing flowerbed. I was much more pleased with that Al Unser Jr. game for the NES.
