Yeah...there as a lot of discussion about that over at the Dilapidation boards. I guess they e-mailed some people or something...the taxi driver is not Caine, despite the name of the sound files. They went very in depth explaining why its not, and came up with possibilities of who he is. Apparently, according to the White Wolf canon, there was a guy parading around LA at the time Bloodlines was supposed to be happening who was claiming to be Caine or something. He wasn't really Caine though. He did, however, have lots of dealings with Smilin Jack. The real Caine, apparently, was still in some cave in Turkey.Stainless wrote:Am I the only one who noticed all the sound files for the Taxi driver are filed as "Caine"?

yeah, the aura/smoke thing that made my computer chug at the end made me think "er....ok?"
But they do provide an interesting distraction when people like myself get bored with the actual game. Why do people need to find an explanation for everything, damn it? Can't he just be an ordinary cab driver? I mean the FILES' NAMES aren't actually part of the game and story,

Its stupid.
All I can think of is that it was a plot from the begining to get the Prince, set up by Jack and the cabbie (who may or may not be a powerful vampire). The "powerful presense" that was sensed in the city was probably the cabbie or something, and it just coincided with the arrival of the AS, so everyone assumed it was the AS.

It seems reasonable to me, some shops here in the UK run a 10 returns policy, you can return your game and either get your money back or exchange it for another game within 10 days of purchase.Wolfman Walt wrote:It's australia, everythings backwards and upside down there.

Electronics Boutique (videogame store franchise) has a 7 day moneyback/exhange no questions asked policy. Although they ask what was wrong with it all the time. I probibly will buy it again at a future date, but quite frankly I'm not paying full price for such a bug ridden game. I still have it installed though, mainly to get at the sound files still.King of Creation wrote:What place would let your return an opened/played video game?
