I hope the film will be a good iteration of the NOTLD series but I have my doubts. That doubt was caused by the way Tom Savini was kicked to the curb by George Romero. Savini lost the original role he was slated to play in Land Of The Dead because of a labor dispute with the Canadian authorities . To solve the problem Romero dumped Savini and handed his part to a Canadian actor. Savini's original role was to be a member of the 'Dead Reckoning' crew.

I don't know how big of a part his role as the zombie 'Blade' is going to be but I can't imagine it being more than a fat cameo appearance. Its interesting to note that at Tom Savini's official website there is very little about 'Land OF The Dead' The only reference now is a brief message in the
Savini Times section.

But WTF I'll go see it anyway.
