[ -> Interview]
After a slow start the folks at GSC managed to answer some questions about their little known game STALKER directly to the fans. Highlights include a public multiplayer beta sometime in "early 2005". In addition, they still believe it will be completed and released next May. One thing I've been wondering about for some time was mentioned:
Will the Ai stalkers be able to coordinate their efforts with player. If yes can they be ordered to do things (like opening a door, covering an area etc.) And will the NPC have the same amount of hitpoints as player (to make it fair and realistic)?
No orders to NPCs will be possible. You can set behaviour models to NPCs via dialogues though (similarly to Fallout). As for hitpoints, yes, the player has the same as an NPC (and vice versa:))
Overall, the chat was only mildly retarded. Click here to read it all, courtesy of Oblivion-Lost.
