DO NOT go into the army.Though I admit being a medic is kinda fun, but it does come with certain hidden catches : you're forced to hurt others(oh, wait, as that's a problem for people on this forum), you're gonna get stabbed with needles yourself, and then there's that whole "sight of blood" which some people find scary, or whatever.
But forget the army mate, it's not a place you'd like... the pay's lousy and if you don't show up for work you go to jail.

Working for the military for the rest of the job would kill me - I'm physically a lazy bastard and not exactly the most enthusiastic person to learn and teach others how to kill people. I think it's like what they say about big apple: it's fun to visit, but a hell to live in, or something like that. I'm glad I don't have to spend more time in the Army than 6-12 months.
*laughs*Spazmo wrote:Once you're in a job like that, they can never get you out no matter how incompetent and stupid you might be.
The perfect employment for Megatron then, aye ? No, wait, you forgot landmine scout. Ahahaha.
Easy to see how confusion could play a part.Tw- Kashluk wrote:Edit: answering to Spazmo I was.

Here's a hint about the army : you got the combat soldiers, and you got the people in the forces at home. Being in the military doesn't necessarly mean you're going to do (major) physical work, teach others how to kill(but hey, everyone's gotta learn how to defend themselves), or, if you actually join up with some education in your background, do anything that remotely resembles being a soldier.Kashluk wrote:Working for the military for the rest of the job would kill me - I'm physically a lazy bastard and not exactly the most enthusiastic person to learn and teach others how to kill people. Well... yeah, that's true. But the beginning of those 6-12 months everyone's a recruit. And recruit camp's got it's physical challenges. And you gotta ski, run and do other kind of shit after that as well. They call it "the nation's largest keep-fit school" or something like that.
With a degree I might have a chance to get to the air defence, radar, hi-tech or some other department that doesn't really require physical performances But I don't know if I want to do that? I'd really like to get in the leadership training, to be honest, to boss others around and sit on my fat ass in some office playing Solitaire.
