Sig picture II

Ok. The last thread was accidently looked it seems but I thought there was still room for conversation?

I mean, sig pictures are really annoying, and unless they are really small shouldn't be used.

I thought we could have a poll about it, because I remember from the old DAC and other forums that people don't like this.

If you must. Whose sig pictures are too large? Are you suggesting they are disabled, or just height/width limited?

A size no bigger then an avatar would be good. Although no sig pictures would be better, but I can't enforce my way on everybody.

A compromise of allowing pictures but keeping them small is good.

The sig pictures are small. Normal sig pictures average around 500 pixels long, and around 150 pixels high. What we have here is much more reasonable, not to mention image size - which is next to nothing.

I just block the fugly ones with AdBlock, like the ones that Teatime and coq are using.

The point seems to be not the size of the images, rather, the image content, which is a different issue and one that you'll have to deal with.

I may be able to get DU to get a custom script up that enablse you to blcok signature images, as there doesn't seem to be a mod on the phpbb site for it, but that'll be a while.

V13 had a signature forum. It rocked. My sig rocks. And it is below the V13 set size (something like 200wx100h...Which is what my old V13 sigs are.

The sigs are fine if they arent too big but some of them just plain suck ass and I dont want to see them like KoCs and Teatimes.

Too bad. We've resized our sig's to make you happy. But the fact remains that you can put anything you want in your sig as long as its not obnoxiously large - verging on messing up the page, or wasteland material. End of discussion.
