Locking threads here makes sense, actually. It lets us proles know when the admins have made a final decision on something and further discussion is futile.

SUBMIT!

Indeed, spazmo has it right. And the Wasteland stays, DAC needs an outlet for spam and unsavoury pictures, and rather there than the rest of the forum.

I think the wasteland is overused. People should find something interesting before starting a thread. But then, I'm not a reference.

Indeed. Lead by example.... though things are better here than they were, say, two months ago. Posts are taken more seriously outside of the wasteland, IMO.

Teat, you'll prolly call me a hypocrite for saying this; but I'd also like to suggest clsing the wasteland. It was fun when it was the antithesis to FO however that's gone now. Mebbe it would be better as a vault of stupidity or something?

Megs calling for the Watseland to be locked, oh my stars and garters. And Boywoos too, if I'd know my hiatus would have caused this,I'd have done it sooner. Meh, I just choose not to go into the wasteland,BY the by, no tears from me over FO, that place caused my nothing but head truama.

Once again, Doc and his navel, ladies and gentlemen!

Close teh Wastlernad. It's dumb, and a potential turn-off for new members.

Indeed, now the 'Master Manipulator'.

Really Doc, can't you take a hiatus from appearing to be especially self-absorbed ? You are not the astral body of DAC. The tides of controversy and disagreement pay you no heed, you demented twit. Cheers.

I'd prefer the Wasteland to stay, if only as a potential outlet for the sort of vices we know grace this community frequently. :drunk:

I'll admit that there's a certain awesomeness to the fact that you can post anything, anything in the Wasteland without any rules whatsoever. But the effect wears off after a while, and let's face it, if you've seen one pic of a girl shitting on some guy's face, you've seen enough.

I certainly agree with your point regarding scatology. However I believe, and perhaps know that without such a forgiving place the horrors contained within will eventually bleed into other, more wholesome areas. I like to think of it as damage control. :drunk:

Are you serious?! I'd close the wasteland if I thought the rest of the forums wouldn't slowly get more and more spammy and filled with goatse references. If I can be convinced of that, then sure...

Well, that was the most moderate flaming I've recieved ina while, I think things have cooled enough for me to be officialy back. Personally, I think the Wasteland is a release valve to keep the crap from occumulating in other forums.

That's up to the moderators to keep some resemblance of order and a few bannings wouldn't hurt.
