Big STALKER preview

Post by Mr. Teatime »

[ -> Editorial]

The February issue of PC Gamer UK features a five page preview of STALKER as their cover story. It talks a lot about the revolutionary AI and the lack of scripted sequences, seen from a playable demo the journalist had access to. The feature also mentions how the graphics surpass those of Doom 3 and Half Life 2, and how facial animations and expressions rival those of Half Life 2.

So anyone interested, go and pick up a copy. There doesn't seem to be any new information, but the journalist appears to have been impressed.

What impresses me most about STALKER I think is the lack of hype surrounding it.

So that's part of why I found them so irritating, other than that they were generally cretins - an allergic reaction ! :drunk:

...Most people misunderstand nutty. Nutty is a powerful driving force. Throughout history, mankind's greatest acheivements were driven by people that wanted to become more nutty. Driven by nuttyness. Nutty, for a lack of better word, is good.

Lets not forget the greatest Stalker-site on the net Stalker-Online!
There are no 'knowns'. There are thing we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns.
