I actually don't mind FF - "Take Me Out" is overplayed, but a good song. Their album is pretty solid, too.

Perhaps I should have named a different band. The Secret Machines, maybe? Or The Shins? Death Cab for Cutie?

There's a Sin City trailer. I can't hazard a guess on how well the film will turn out, but it looks damn pretty.

(If the video comes up tiny, set your Quicktime plug-in settings to LAN)

Translate this, Frenchie:

"Ou sont tes heros aux corps d'athletes
Ou sont tes idoles mal rasees, bien habillees
Dans leurs yeux des dollars
Dans leurs sourires des diamants
Moi auussi un jour je serai beau comme un dieu
Apollon 2000 zero defaut vingt et un an
C'est l'homme ideal charme au masculin"

Where are your athlete bodied heros,
Where are your unshaved idols, well dressed
In their dollar eyes
In their diamond smiles
I too will someday be as beautiful as a god
Appolo 2000 zero default 21 years (this line doens't make any fucking sense, even in french)
This is the ideal man with masculine charm.

Listening to music with this kind of lyrics, you won't learn shit. It hardly makes any sense and it's badly written. What the fuck is it?

Furthering the topic of Sin City, here's a seven minute clip of the film that was an exclusive at some comic convention, I guess.

Massive Attack is awesome. Interpol is also awesome.

The video for Evil is pretty eh though, I don't want to see a puppet Carlos D. dancing. With the wrong color hair? I don't understand.

The Killers for me are Franz Ferdinand quality, at least for some of their songs. Mostly very good.

What else have I listened to lately...

oh yah, early 90's disco goth sensation Suspiria has some catchy tunes. If you can stand one of the most bizzare vocal styles I know of, epic belting monotone? I don't understand that either but it's pretty sweet.
