<a href="">IGN have a new character bio</a> from the post-apocalyptic <em>Diablo</em>-clone, <a href="http://www.ra2083.com/">Restricted Area</a>. It's for someone called <strong>Johnson</strong>, and apparently, "<em>subtlety isn't a word in Johnson's dictionary.</em>"
<blockquote><em><strong>Abilities</strong>
Johnson is a hitman for hire but don't expect him to be the strong,
silent type. Subtlety isn't a word in his dictionary. He prefers to
wield lumbering weapons that his enemies can see from a mile awhile. No
worry though, they'll be dead a split second later.
<strong>Weapons</strong>
Johnson has a preference for big shiny things with devastating
firepower. This doesn't limit him to just firearms. He loves
flamethrowers and heavy bruising-type weapons as well. His first love
is the shotgun, but he'll be able to use machineguns, pistols,
flamethrowers and a whole host of weapons for his destructive deeds.
<strong>Skills</strong>
Johnson doesn't believe in that new-wave Psi-Ability, so he relies on
his strength to get him to the finish line. For this reason, the bulk
of his abilities focus on improving upon his weapon proficiency. As he
levels up, he will be able to put points towards the weapons that are
already in his arsenal. More points will provide more damage and more
devastation than that which already exists.
</em></blockquote>
Essentially, he's a big, dumb tank. I wish game developers put more
thought into their characters. Is it really that hard to break the
stereotypes in RPGs? Even just making the tank female
would be a start.

A 'hitman' who gets off on creating loud noises (and consequently, nasty messes) ? With that approach, one way or the other you're not going to inspire employer confidence. As the antithesis of his profession, I imagine he would have great difficulty making ends meet as anything but standard cannon fodder. Frankly, it would surprise me if such a character survived long enough to call such a path of violence a career at all.
Uninteresting and unimaginative. A pity.![icon_drunk :drunk:](./images/smilies/icon_drunk.gif)
