Darwinia demo
A wierd looking indie game has a demo.
Greetings from Introversion Software!
We are very pleased to announce that the Playable Demo of Darwinia is now
available for download from our site. The demo contains a single level of the
game - the Pixel Mines - and will give you a wonderful flavour of the game. We
really do hope you enjoy it. Please show it to all your friends and tell
everyone you know about it...we need your help to spread the word.

The game will be launching on 4th March 2005. If you can't wait until then, you
can pre-order it from our site and we will aim to ship it to your house by that
day. This really is the quickest and safest way to get the game...pre-orders
will be handled in priority to normal orders.

Have fun!

Introversion Software
They made Uplink, and this game looks totally unique, so it'll be worth a try.

Yeah it's got those little Tron things. Copyright violation? Hope not.
I thought it was decently entertaining. Entertaining but bland. All I can say is that it needs a clearer tutorial of some sort and it needs to have the ability to save.
Edit, I played a little more and I think I've got a little more to add to the critique.
The gameplay itself is pretty decent if simple. It's kinda addictive. It needs some serious pathfinding ai improvement though. Seriously. Also it's real hard on the eyes after a while, bright orange on black might be ripped straight from retro 80's games but there's a pretty decent reason as to why it's not used any more - it sucks.
Definately has potential though, and I would very much like to see the full game and what kinda stuff it's got going for it.
