So what is canon
Fallout 1 is the ultimate canon. Fallout 2 is canon unless it contradicts FO1, in which case FO1 is used.
As for Tactics... I dunno.
FOBOS... no.

Here's what I think. FO1 forms the core of the canon. FO2 and FOT are "what-ifs", different futures of what has transpired after Vault Dweller nuked the Cathederal and blew up the Vats. If we will ever put them in DACWiki, naturally they must be accompanied by detailed articles on what design decisions sucked and why they shouldn't be canonized.
And above all, please let's not pull shit out of thin air and make things up turning this into another Fallout Bible.

As far as FoT goes, the concept of a break-away Brotherhood faction - and the other factions (Reavers and Beastlords and such) - in the midwest should be considered canon, as should the plot of FoT. HOWEVER, the details should not be considered canon, i.e., furturistic robots, non-canon weapons, boombugs. Because, really, something had to have happened out there, and FoT is the only Fallout game that attempts to explain what it was.

We'll have articles about Fo:T and Fo:Bos, Fallout or not.
But when talking about what is canon, we are trying to decide which games, and the actions and conditions presented thereof, are to be used to create the general articles about the Fallout setting.
I think it's generally Fallout 1 + stuff from Fallout 2 (as long as they don't contradict FO, or are known to be bullshit as far as the general design went).
The Fallout bible should probably be used, but only small bits maybe?
Anything from Fo:T+Fo:BoS and any other game isn't remotly canon.
Anyway, the general community consensus is the best measure of canon, probably.

Well I don't want to bitch, but remember then this is encyclopedia, which means you must write as objective(?) as you can, no "Then there was FO:BOS, but it sucked so much we won't write about it." stuff.
And yeah, this will be hard to pull. You can't ignore stuff throw in FOT or FO2, and you'll have to stick with Bible as well(Being 'official' n'all).
I'm curious what will ye do... thank God I'm not the one makin' this

Central America is where Mexico and Panama are located, so I'd hope we won't see anything about the BOS being there.Dan wrote:Well, the thing is anyone can edit it, so you can actually help make it if you want.
Anyhow, the FOT and FOBOS articles would be objective, but don't expect to see anything about the BOS in central america in the BOS article.
