... by playing <a href="http://www.totallyscrewed.net/newsite/g ... ">Survival Crisis Z</a>, a post-apocalyptic action/RPG thing. I can't tell you what it's like because it messes up on my PC, but <strong>Saint_Proverbius</strong>, who sent me the link, thinks it's OK. It's only 10 MB as well, so worth a <a href="http://www.totallyscrewed.net/files/SCZ ... ownload</a>.
<blockquote><em>Survival Crisis Z is an open ended intense survival experience that is
nearly as much RPG as it is arcade. Make money or steal it. Buy weapons
or pick them off a fresh corpse. Work for the leaders of the
post-apocalyptic ruin or have them working for you.
Marauders, terrorists, merchants and heroes are all equals here. They
are all either one of us or one of them, warm-blooded or cold,
survivors or monsters.</em>

That screenshot looks like it is from Southpark.
There are no 'knowns'. There are thing we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns.

It does look like it is from South Park.
I tried the game out for a few minutes, takes a while to get used to. I found no way to target the zombies so it feels like you are shooting from your hip.
But the world is seamless (NPCs go in and out of houses, you can hear fighting in and out of houses) as well as giving you a realistic cone of sight (can't see behind your character).

I gave it another go, and stepped out of the starter building. Only to be mobbed by about 20 or so fucking zombies. Running is unsurprisingly ineffective when you're being chewed on by multiple hostiles simultaneously. Fucking zombies. No pause button either. Hell, alt-tabbing kills the program. SO WHAT IF I HAVE A SHORT ATTENTION SPAN WHEN I'M BEING KILLED BY ZOMBIES, EH ?
I like the other titles on their website... hehe... "Survival Crisis Z" actually sounds serious compared to "Zombies and Pterodactyls 2005 beta"(cant wait til the finished game comes out, huh?), "Zombie Smashers X" and "Blood Zero"! They also have a gaame called "Yuki's Vacation" bout a vampire ninja... This company certainly has a bright future ahead of them!
