The post-apocalyptic <em>Diablo</em>-clone <a href="http://www.ra2083.com/">Restricted Area</a> has been <a href="http://www.gamechronicles.com/previews/ ... >previewed at Games Chronicles</a>. It's based on playing some preview code.
<blockquote><em> The one thing that made this game hard for me to play isn't so much
a complaint, but an aspect that obviously hasn't been completely worked
out from the people over at Master Creating; the translation problem.
Restricted Area starts out with a visually impressive opening movie,
along with dialogue from the character, apparently telling their story.
Unfortunately, it's entirely in German, with no sub-titles to
translate. While I'd love to brag about my conversational grasp of
German from three years in high school, it wasn't exactly possible for
me to grasp the story... well, at all.</em>
<p><em>
Once the actual gameplay starts, however, there are dialogue boxes with
branching conversation options when characters speak. While the
translation is pretty good, it is still littered with grammar and
spelling errors, as well as a few phrases that I didn't quite
understand. (You can respond to a loan shark with the phrase "Your
ketty," for example. Huh?) While it wasn't quite "all your base" bad,
it could definitely use some work.</em></p>
</blockquote>
Hopefully the translation issues will be sorted out before release. It's a major problem for all foreign releases, it seems.
