Y'all need to branch out a bit from the classic rock.

And the only Yes that's even remotely listenable is 90125. It's not on your list. You suck.

(1) Half of that list isn't classic rock. Miles Davis, Brian Eno, Ozric Tentacles, GSYBE, Can, and the likes of them are all far from classic rock. Furthermore, I doubt that you know most of those.

(2) 90125 is trashy pop Yes.

You, sir, are an idiot.

At least 90125 isn't as pretentious as silk damusk.

Oh, my heavens! Your encyclopedic knowledge of such obscure artists as Miles freaking Davis humbles me. I tip my hat to you, sir. :drunk:

What the hell are you talking about? I'm just listing some artists on my list that aren't classic rockers.

Yeah. Do you know most of them? Miles and Brian being the obvious exceptions?

Aw fuck. Subhuman, you suck horribly. Neither Atoga's nor My list is composed of just Classic rock. I won't waste any more effort to explain.

TG, I have some Israeli stuff there. Look it over heh. True, you need to fish for it, but still.

And the cycle of life continues.

I wasn't aware Timothy Leary made music.

The magic of the edit button

Okay, Dan, so you've got some Israely stuff on that list... you could aspire higher, though. I've been constantly listening to Miflatzot Ha Tehila for the past 3 days, for instance.

I just noticed you've also listed Jeff Beck. Man, is that guy a genius on the guitar or what? I've 4 discs of his.

I didn't say it was just classic rock, but a good 3/4 of it is. Not that it matters.
atoga wrote:Yeah. Do you know most of them? Miles and Brian being the obvious exceptions?
I've heard of GSYBE, but not Ozric or Can. Not that it matters. My point is, don't be all high-and-mighty because you know some obscure artists. That shit gets old fast.

That's not the point. I'm just saying that you're "y'all need to branch out from classic rock a little" point is stupid, since (1) I have branched out from classic rock and (2) since you have a very good picture about what it is that I'm listening to, your comment has totally lost coherence.
the guardian wrote:I wasn't aware Timothy Leary made music.
It's the soundtrack from some video he released in 1994(?). It's this very odd, 30-minute-long techno-industrial piece where Timmy reads out part of one of his books.

You're overanalysing it. I told you to ease off the classic rock, as an exaggeration, because it comprised most of your playlist. I'm just shooting my mouth off. Don't take it so literally.

How did you want him to take it then? Up the ass?

Hey, Atoga, I just noticed you have the 4 best Gong albums. YAY.

Well, see here, I'm not really a big fan of Mashina.

Wait, don't beat me up.

I don't hate them or some such thing, but they're not really favouries of mine. I know the big hits of course.

I know what you must be thinking when their name is brought up, but I'm telling you, Dan, this CD is nothing like the shit you're used to. Forget rikod hamehona and all that bullshit, just get the CD or you're a dead man.
