Does anyone know where I can get Adv. Power Armor MKII in Fallout 2 (without hacking, of course)?

Damn I hate that puzzle room..... I got frustrated on trying to figure out the combination, so I used my last skill points on lockpick...with el.lockpick mk II I got those darn doors open....

Are there anymore of APA mk II? I could find only one, so I guess there ain't anymore of them...would have been nice to have on for every team mate..

That Electric Floor Door Maze(tm) area was pretty lame. I think it can be best summed up by the scene in Galaxy Quest where they're talking about the crusher room on the starship.

Oddly enough, the EFDM area is one of the few bad parts of Fallout 2 that didn't make it in to Fallout Tactics.

Nope, no other APA MkII in the game - other then hacking.

get the 2 low-end sets of combat implants and normal advanced power armor, and you ain't missing much of anything. The puzzle room doth indeed suck, it's the only part of the game I turned to a walkthrough for the first time through.

I either just fumble my way through it or use the Trap-skill on each plate- a little XP and no elctrocutions!

Well, the thing is, I modded it a little bit, made it look different and a little better, but I didn't want to rely on cheating to get it.

heh- that room is pretty anoying, espescially if you go into the room that traps you... i kept at it for 15mins and eventually got it...
trial and error is my method there...

heh- i bet most people wish there was another way of getting Adv. power armour MKII.... hehe

yeah, i went to sleep in that place on one of the electric floor panels, and my HP went down to 0 really quickly, then back up to about 100. When I exited the PipBoy, I was dead. Toasted. Literally...

Now i think that i lucked because when i played it took me less than 5 minutes to do it (and i went to each room), i guess i was lucky. :)

15 minutes is too long... I spend at most 5 minutes in there, never knowing what to do (I found the thing so silly I never bothered finding any logic to it)...

It's fairly simple, if you number the rooms like this:

The right combination is 2,1,2,3,7,8,9,10.

they should have included an 'electrical resistance' aspect to armor to prevent things like this, as well as that darn pulse rifle.

go to navarro and act like you are a newb recruit
the quartermaster will send you to the locker room to suit up ,you get nice APA MK II and lotsa other goodies that way
you(well some of you) will be placed on the protected lists when my people come to take over this planet

That's just Advanced Power Armor. What they're talking about here is the Mk. 2 version, the best set of armor in the game, which is found in the Enclave main base. It has an additional five percent, IIRC, to the resistances. And the Enclave is the only place to get the MK II, without hacking.

also ,i thought horrigan's armor was better?

Um, dude, the Horrigan Armor you get AFTER BEATING THE LAST GUY and BY DOING A REALLY LAME TRICK (or much easyer by cheating)... It's not even supposed to be available in the game, so no, it's not "better".

And if you got the APA Mk2 from Navaro, either you used a lame mod, or hack to get it, or your memory is failing.
