Why are allmost all fallout related mods made by eather russians or east europeans? Well i am at least glad that poeple are starting to dare to release them after all this time.

It's usually better for mods to be released in several betas and then a final, rather than hold it all back for one finished release. The danger of boredom, perfectionism or lack of apparent interest can deal a deathblow to it.

It is good to see some new mods come out at last.

Yea releasing it as beta is great, you get couple of bug reports and opinions on how to make it better and what sucked without actually getting any flames like "mod sucks". And than you can make expansions and patches for it that balances it out.

It also lets you change direction or try out new ideas halfway, which can save you from disaster or add something special to the mod. It also works as a promotional demo for the mod too and helps spread the word. I can't think of any real negative points against it.

Releasing a beta can be disheartening for a modder. I released a beta of Melee Meltdown, how much feedback did I get? One bloody comment.

Sod it, I release my stuff when I'm sick and tired of looking at it anymore, if I get some intelligent feedback I'll go back and make changes but otherwise if you don't like it don't play it.

That's a good point too, and it does indicate if your project will even be appreciated at all when it is finished. If you are making a project for other people to enjoy, it would be even more disheartening to finish it all and then get little or no feedback. Better to cut your losses in that case. It's different if you are making it as a hobby or yourself, of course.

whats the status on Darkfall anyways? i was going to download the demo but sometimes my download speed can be a real pain in the a$$ i should just try and get high speed internet i guess, ugh wireless was a good idea at first but once you have 3 computers running on it it
