Two graphics needed

I think it'd be good to replace the current Vault logo with something else, perhaps keeping the text but having the outline of a vault door in the background rather than the red circle...
Also, it'd be good to have a small tiling image for the background; I thought maybe the wasteland tile from the original games. Can anyone do any of this?

Ok, I put together a 500kb jpg showing some tiles that Fez made and sent along. Which one is best for the wiki background?

Why not take the background graphic from the official FO1 site (which is mirrored at *cough* NMA) and make it fit high resolutions?

Yes. Just extend the crumpled-up paper bit so it'll fit 1600x1200 resolution and it's good to go.

Larger (1600 wide) version of old background. - will take around 19 seconds to load on a 56k modem.

Larger (1600 wide) version with double sized nuke sign. - will take around 33 seconds to load on a 56k modem. That nuke sign started to get a bit smaller than it originally should look, so I thought this one might look better at the higher resolutions. Up to you what you want.

That the kind of thing you were thinking of Spazmo?

I hate it when websites use tiled backgrounds. It just makes it look amateurish. Go for a solid color or single-pixel stripes.

Ok I've replaced the logo with one Fez made. Comments/suggestions welcome etc... I think it looks pretty good, an improvement on the old logo.

Hmm, I also think that maybe the paper background posted above, without the dark brown/nuke bit at the side, could make a good tile, if anyone wants to make such an image...

Fez, could you also make a version of your logo with the "Krypta" text instead of "The Vault" for the Polish version, which will be set up soon?

Just "KRYPTA" on its own? I'll maybe have a go at it when I have some time. I've been playing with the wiki and trying to learn to paint.

Is it possible to make it smaller, like a square? That way it can tile horizontally and vertically without being a large file.
Also, make it from the original image if you weren't already doing so... if you keep using the new jpg you make to edit, the image quality will degrade, as jpg is a lossy format

Update: Damn Polish letters, gah. I'll get it yet, but it's about ten times more awkward. It might take a while.

Edit: Update2: God dammit, I nearly had a heart attack and jammed the mouse through the monitor when I thought I had spelt the word wrong. False alarm though. My mind is playing tricks on me.

Edit2: @Ausir: I finished a design for the Polish logo. Slightly more cartoon look to it. The text reads:

"KRYPTA"

I made a couple of slight variations of it too to give you an idea of how the text alignment can be changed if you want. You'll know what I mean when you see them. Choose which one you prefer. PM me or something when you want them.
