Hey requiem,
How's it going good I hope!
I was wondering do you know how to set up and use, that zartil2gif tool
and possibly if you could maybe give me a brief rundown on how to use it for converting the files.
By the way also what tool is working best for converting FO 1/2 tiles etc.
Thank's jc577

Zar2Gif, no idea, I didn't even no there was one. If I want to convert a zar into an editable format I just use redviewer to export it as a tga.
Which zars do you want to convert? I might already have them in tga format.
As for fo2 art, I've only used redviewer to convert them to tgas, it only can do one at a time but there's not a lot of stuff left in the RPGs that will convert easily due to the different perspectives.

Hi requiem,
I don't need any yet I was just wondering about it. I found that file over at Team X's website.
By the way is there some way in redviewer to adjust the final image size of the new tile, or does that have to be in the Photo-Paint or Photoshop.
Something else I thought of what resolution do you normally save your
edited pics at. Because some of mine when I view them in the game they seem larger then what they should be.
Well Take Care, I'll remember your offer for TGA's if I need them.
Thank's for info! jc577

You need to adjust your image size in your graphics program before you turn it into a zar. It shouldn't matter about resolution, if it looks too big shrink the image and make a new tile.
I exported a couple of tiles, a few walls and a variety of objects and used them a guide to sizing my images. Though sometimes I still need a couple of attempts to get the size right.
If in doubt about an image I'll convert it into a rough zar without any blocking out of the background etc and load it into a similar tile in redviewer just to see how much I need to reduce the image by.

That's what I was wondering about, by the way have you ever heard
of that book series Deathlands, it's suppose to be along the same lines as fallout, anyway I'm looking at putting a game together based on the books.
It'll be interesting and any help you could give me as far as technical info or just whatever I'll greatly appreciate it.!!!!
God Bless!!! jc577

Hi requiem,
If you type in Deathlands book series or James
Axler in Google it'll bring up the homepage for
it.
I think you might like it, if you enjoy fallout
and Fallout tactics. It seems that they were taken
from each other because many things coincide
like weapons and items, etc. But it opens something
new to new maps and such, because you travel all
over the U.S. also Alaska, and South America.
It's based after the world had been nuked liked in
Fallout.
You might try
www.geocities.com, then type in Deathlands Book
series.
Well Have a Great Day and Weekend!!
