What was the best boss battle for you guys?

Mine would be TEH END for mgs3, because it was so open and shit.

Baal at the end of D2:LOD was pretty cool. I think my favorite though was probably Zeromus on FF2.

I know, I know. FF sucks now, but back when FF2 came out in '92, it rocked.

System Shock 2 was the best game I've ever played... up until the time you leave the Rickenbacker. Then it's the worst game I've ever played.

The boss battle in Throne Of Bhaal wasn't so much hard as extremely fucking annoying.

I just got Anachronox via Amazon acouple of weeks ago.
Hated the combat... the boss fight was really annoying.
Damn. Fucking. Annoying.
I even figured out the step on it thing right away, but...
why did it have to be so stupid?
Why no saving?
I loved that Nazi salute.
And why couldn't I just cut a deal w/Grumgnome to go to the
other universe... and do some Party-Killing?
Still, a nice adventure game.

Can't think of a single fucking boss that was ever worth fighting.

Best fights ever were in Serious Sam 1 and 2... I love it when shit starts to blow up around you, and there's an army on their way to fuck you up, while you're gunning them down with an arsenal bigger and badder than the total of action heroes through time could come up with.

The Serious Sam games were probably the two most purely entertaining games I ever played. Just plain, stupid fun.

My favorite boss fight has always been the cyberdemon battle in the original Doom. I also made a Doom 2 level where the only way to survive was to provoke a cyberdemon and spiderdemon into fighting each other, but that's been lost to the sands of time.

There's actually a level in Doom 2 where you open the door to show a Cyberdemon anda Spidermastermind next to each other. Then after you kill them (or get the cyberdemon to kill the SMM), you end up coming up against a damn Arch Vile. 3 Strongest monsters in the game 2 doors in.

I never actually completed Doom 2 - I just bought to make better levels than I could with Doom 1.
